Entrambe le specie di questo genere si ritrovano in mwfaBrasile, mentre mwfqStephanoxis loddigesii è diffusa anche in mwfwArgentina e mwgaParaguaycite-ref-ioc-1-1[1].

Tassonomia

Comprende le seguenti mwhwspeciecite-ref-ioc-1-2[1]:

• mwjgStephanoxis lalandi (mwkaVieillot, 1818) - colibrì di Delalande, colibrì crestato pettonero, colibrì crestato di Delalande
